Jack Heuer, a car-racing fan, named the watch the Monaco, after the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race.

TAG Heuer is Celebrating with the Carrera Silver Replica Watch

The silver-dial model of 1964 with its three counters and starburst silver-coloured dial, is now being re-introduced with some updates:
