Celebrating TAG Heuer Monaco Replica

As is often the case with many design classics, the Replica Heuer Monaco divided opinion.

Every aspect of the Tag Heuer Replica watch’s design was radical: the metallic blue dial, the red and light blue hands, the square case and the placement of the crown on the left-hand side.

But fifty years later, Replica TAG Heuer celebrates this iconic model with new versions of the legendary original, events around the world as well as a dedicated book.

When introduced it featured the first water-resistant square case and the Calibre 11, the first automatic-winding chronograph movement.

The Tag Heuer Replica Calibre 11 was the result of three years of close collaboration between watch brands Heuer, Breitling and Hamilton, and it became the first automatic chronograph.

Tag Heuer Monaco – Steve McQueen Chronograph

While the square-faced Tag Heuer Monaco Replica became legendary after Steve McQueen checked the time on one in the opening sequence of the greatest racing movie of all time, Le Mans, he did in fact also wear one in real life.

Off the set, McQueen raced motorcycles with a fair amount of skill and was downright talented and quick in another early ’70s racing legend, the Porsche 908, a car in which he nearly won the 12 Hours of Sebring!

Just as McQueen himself will always remain iconic, Heuer’s iconic timepiece also broke the wristwatch mold, as the first water-resistant timepiece with a square case and the first automatic chronograph. The Copy Monaco vintage elegance, just like the race itself.

Replica TAG Heuer New Limited Monaco

The Replica Heuer Monaco is one of the most sought after watches in the brand’s long history. Unveiled in Monaco, fittingly at the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, the design of this latest piece is a bit of a surprise considering how conservative the brand has been with Monaco releases in recent years.

Powered by the TAG Heuer Caliber 11 Replica Watches, and fitted into the same 39mm case seen in other current Monaco models, the dial chosen for this model screams ’70s.

Rather than trying to replicate some of the vintage dials from decades ago, the brand opted to manufacture a dial with vertical Côtes de Genève stripes finished in this odd brown hue that has hints of green depending on lighting conditions.

While it won’t be for everyone, we have to admit that it’s nice to see a less conventional color roll into the Fake TAG Heuer catalog. Completing the package, the piece is fitted with a brown calfskin rallye-style strap.
